General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) & How We Care for Your Data
The GDPR is Europe’s new privacy regulation. It gives you control over the data that organizations have about you and how they market to you. Colorado has similar protections as well.
We don’t use anything from you that we wouldn’t want someone using ourselves. All of your information that you give us we take in through services like Mailchimp.com, and we only collect what you offer us. Any analytics have been set to anonymous data in order to protect your personal information. But, there is more info here for legal purposes. Feel free to ask questions at hello@denverwebexperts.com.
We apply strict policies and practices to protect all of our customers’ personal data, including those promoted by the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework, E.U. Model Clause Principles and the APEC Privacy Principles. Many of those international standards will continue under the GDPR.
We will not rent or sell or share your email with any third party, and we never have. However, we use third party analytics software from Google, Facebook, and Mailchimp. In some cases, we may place a cookie on your side to enable us to better understand who is visiting our sites and how they use them.
We use cookies to enable you to have a better experience with our content. For example, we may from time to time use cookies to avoid showing you the same information twice or sending you the same resources we’ve already sent you.
We don’t serve ads to our site visitors using any third-party tools. When we run ads on Facebook, we may use audience data to serve you and people like you ads based on your visits to our sites. Facebook’s Data Policy provides much more information on how your Facebook data is used on their platform
At any time, you can opt out of hearing from us. You can always opt out of the collection and use of your information online. Check out these two resources to help you: YourAdChoices or Your Online Choices.
You can use third party tools, RSS or even incognito browsers to interact with our free materials. We will only send things to people who have subscribed to our resources, but you are always welcome to browse our site.
What is GDPR?
GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation. It is meant to strengthen the rights of individuals regarding personal data.
What does GDPR mean for you?
For most of our Colorado business owners, nothing EU related. But know that we treat you like you live in the EU. This means you’re entitled to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal data we’ve collected about you. The answer is your email if you provide it and any information you offer through forms on this site.
- Request that we stop sending you direct marketing messages. This can be done through an unsubscribe link in every email.
We use Mailchimp and ActiveCampaign to send messages.
We are here to help you grow your business, and we’ll update this page as it makes sense.
Thanks for making a difference in our city.
